ENFIELD, CT (WFSB) -

The Enfield Police Department is investigating a threat made by a Fermi High School student Tuesday night.

According to Superintendent of Schools Dr. Jeffrey A. Schumann, a student "implied a threat" to another student and when students arrived at school Wednesday morning, rumors started flying.

Schumann said it is unclear what disciplinary action the student will face. It will depend on the police investigation, he added.

Fermi High School was never evacuated or put into lockdown, Schumann said.
