WINDSOR LOCKS, CT (WFSB) -
The Ramada Inn hotel in Windsor Locks was evacuated early Thursday morning due to a strong odor, emergency officials said.
Around 5:14 a.m., there was a strong smell of gas coming from the kitchen and that's what prompted the evacuation, fire officials said.
Emergency officials were not sure if the smell came from a pilot light or another appliance. Officials from Yankee Gas arrived at the scene and investigated.
Fire officials said there was no danger, and they cleared the scene before 6:30 a.m.
Everyone that was evacuated has since been let back into the building.
No other information was released.
