A controversial plan for nightclubs in New Britain has been referred to a subcommittee after a packed late-night common council meeting, according to the New Britain Herald.
The plan would require clubs to have video cameras, metal detectors and private security.
City leaders said it will cut down on violence, but many said it will also hurt local business.
