As America pauses to remember the 26 victims of the Sandy Hook School shooting, organizations across the nation are mobilizing to help the families of those injured or killed in the attack.
The following non-profit organizations are collecting money to help the victims.
The American Red Cross will donate a portion of proceeds collected to the victims of Newtown, Connecticut and their families.
Newtown Youth and Family Services will use all money collected to fund emergency counseling for families, community members, and staff involved in the shooting.
The United Way - Sandy Hook School Support Fund is a special fund set up to assist the families of the Sandy Hook School shooting. 100% of proceeds to this fund (minus any bank-chard credit card processing fees) will go to victims.
Several private donation funds have been set up to aid the victims of the school shooting.
The Newtown Memorial Fund has been set up as a two-fold fund, to assist families with funeral expenses and to help fund a memorial to the victims.
The Emelie Parker Fund will help the family of the six-year-old, killed in the massacre.
The United State Postal Service has established a P.O. box to allow the public to send condolences to those impacted by the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. Letters can be addressed to the following address:

The state of Connecticut is also welcoming volunteer assistance. Anyone wishing to help in person is asked to call 1-800-203-1234.
