An Avon man harassed an ex-girlfriend on Facebook to the point she had to go to police and on Tuesday, he had to appear in front of judge in connection with the charges, according to investigators.
Derek Spaulding, 23, was arrested by the Farmington Police Department Monday in what appears to be two separate incidents involving Facebook and phone harassment.
Police said Spaulding made threatening phone calls to his ex-girlfriend, and believe he created several Facebook pages about her with personal information and photographs.
He was charged with second-degree harassment and second-degree breach of peace. Spaulding was arraigned at Hartford Superior Court Monday.
Spaulding did not comment to Eyewitness News on Tuesday after a protective order was issued against him.
