Vigils continue to be held as state mourns

NEWTOWN, CT (WFSB) -

Several vigils and memorial events will be held across Connecticut on Wednesday, as the state continues to mourn the tragic school shooting in Newtown.

Jewett City - Candlelight vigil at Veterans Memorial Park (intersection of Ashland and Hill streets) at 7 p.m.
Plainville - Candlelight vigil at the Fire Department Headquarters on West Main Street at 6:30 p.m.
Newington - Interfaith vigil at the Newington High School auditorium at 7 p.m.
Manchester - Candlelight vigil at Center Memorial Park near the Mary Cheney Library on Main Street at 6 p.m.
Bristol - Vigil at the Beulah A.M.E. Zion Church on Circle Street in the Forestville section of town at 6:30 p.m.

Additional vigils will be added as they come in; check back for updates.
