An elementary school in Orange was placed into lockdown Thursday morning as a precaution after police said a suspicious-looking man was spotted in the area.
The Peck Place Elementary School was in lockdown for less than 30 minutes, according to town officials.
A man was seen in the area of the school's driveway and it caused the school to be locked down. Police determined that the man was just surveying his property.
"Students and staff responded perfectly," said Assistant Police Chief Anthony Cuozzo in a statement Thursday.
The Peck Place Elementary School was the only school that was locked down Thursday.
