Dayville, CT (WFSB) -

The Connecticut State Police is investigating a bank robbery in Dayville Thursday morning.

A man entered the Jewett City Savings Bank just before 11:30 a.m. and handed a note to the teller demanding money, state police said. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money in a four-door Hyundai with Connecticut license plate ECA037.

No weapon was ever implied, state police said.

The suspect is being described as a white man in his mid-30s at 5' to 5'6" with a stocky build and a brown scruffy facial hair. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, dark knit watch cap with white logo, dark sunglasses and blue jeans.

The bank robbery is under investigation by the Connecticut State Police. Anyone with any information is asked to call police at 860-774-4900.
