Police make arrests after drug raid in Old Saybrook

OLD SAYBROOK, CT (WFSB) -
Police in Old Saybrook have arrested several men after a drug raid at a home Friday night.
Officials raided a home located at 96 Old Boston Post Road, right next to the Goodwin Elementary School.
At the home, police said they seized a pistol, over a quarter pound of marijuana, cocaine, multiple prescription drugs, several cell phones, cash and other drug paraphernalia.
Eight people were arrested, including several minors.
Police said Jesse Johnston, 47, a resident of the home, is facing several drug-related charges, as well as risk of injury to a minor. He was held on a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 24.
David Johnston, 20, also a resident of the home, also faces several drug related charges, as well as risk of injury to a minor. He is facing a $50,000 bond and will appear in court Dec. 24.
Another resident of the home, Christian Simone, 20, is facing several drug related charges and is being held on a $25,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 8.
Police also arrested Michael VanMeter, 26, of Deep River, during the raid. He's charged with possession of marijuana and several other drug related charges. He is being held on a $15,000 bond. He's due to appear in court Jan. 8.
Richard Lapollo, 41, of Oakdale, was issued an infraction for possession of less than .5 ounce of marijuana.
Three juveniles were also arrest during the raid. All three were released to their guardians and are scheduled to appear in court.
