A bus driver in Vernon has been arrested following a spring time bus crash that sent 14 students to the hospital.
Stacey Beaudry, of Vernon, turned herself into the Vernon Police Department on Sunday after learning of a warrant for her arrest.
Beaudry was operating a school bus April 26 traveling from Vernon Center Middle School with 29 students on board when the bus clipped a utility pole and went off the road into trees and bushes.
Fourteen students with minor injuries were taken to area hospitals.
Beaudry initially told police that she was not using her cell phone, taking any medications or consuming any alcohol the day of the crash.
Beaudry later gave a statement to police admitting that she took a prescription before the accident.
Beaudry is expected to appear in Rockville Superior Court on Jan. 8, 2013.
