BROOKFIELD, CT (WFSB) -
A Brookfield man has been arrested by state police after investigators said he had sexually explicit conversations with an 11-year-old girl from another state.
According to state police, William Stuart Meltzer, 58, was arrested after investigators said he engaged in conversations with a trooper, who was posing as a child online.
The Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Unit seized Meltzer's computer and after a full investigation, a warrant was executed for his arrest.
During its investigation, state police determined that Meltzer was having sexually explicit conversations with other children online.
Meltzer was charged with three counts of impairing the morals of a minor and was released on a $50,000 bond. He is expected to be arraigned in Danbury Superior Court on Jan. 7.
