MIDDLETOWN, CT (WFSB) -
A group of local dancers is getting a chance to perform on a big stage in Miami.
Dancers from Stage Left Dance Studio in Middletown were one of 10 groups selected to perform at the BCS Championship Game halftime show.
The dance team ranges in age from 12 to 17 years old, and they are all pumped up for the big trip to South Beach.
"I am super dooper excited because I have never performed in front of a crowd this big," said dancer Amanda Blach. "We get to work with all these famous choreographers, and it is going to be a lot of fun."
The girls will also attend a dance convention while in Miami.
At least 75,000 people are expected to pack the stadium, and millions will be watching on television.
ESPN will be carrying that game on Jan. 7 when Alabama takes on Notre Dame.
