The Westport Police Department arrested a 44-year old man, who is accused of robbing a bank in the city at knifepoint last week.
James Watson of Shelton was charged in the robbery of Citi Bank on Post Road West on Dec. 21.
According to police, Watson allegedly showed a knife, passed a note to the teller and demanded cash. He then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. It is unclear if the money has been recovered.
Watson was charged with first-degree robbery and fifth-degree larceny. He was released on a $50,000 bond and is due in Norwalk Superior Court on Friday.
