East Hartford officers there have arrested a 32-year-old man who claims to have secretly videotaped nine women in bathrooms, in at least four locations over the past few years.

According to police, a woman noticed a flip camera in the women's bathroom at Hydro Horning Laboratories on Thursday. Police said the camera was recording what was happening in the room.

After police were called and during their investigation, Darrel Lewis, of East Hartford, admitted to secretly videotaping dozens of women in bathrooms over the past few years, including at least one as young as 11 years old.

According to court documents, the 11-year-old and 17-year-old victims were video taped at a church in Glastonbury where Lewis attends.

Lewis told officers he kept and cataloged the videos, giving the victims nicknames, and claimed *there are a 'couple dozen' videos of women he secretly recorded in the bathrooms.

Lewis, who lives with his mother in East Hartford, was charged with one count of voyeurism and is being held a $250,000 bond. He was arraigned at Manchester Superior Court on Friday and returns Feb. 1.

All of his computer equipment has been handed over to the state computer forensic lab for analysis. Lewis told police that he did not share or distribute any of the videos.

The East Hartford Police Department is investigating the incidents. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 860-528-4401.
