MGM delivers response to second phase of city casino selection process

Michael Mathis, MGM Resorts vice president of global gaming development, was joined by MGM Springfield team members and local supporters to deliver the company's response to Phase II of the city of Springfield's request for a proposed destination casino resort development.

In August, MGM unveiled plans to develop a more than $800 million world-class residential, dining, retail and entertainment district on about 10 acres of land in downtown Springfield.

MGM is seeking the sole gaming license in Western Massachusetts.
