CVS in Windsor robbed by unarmed man

WINDSOR, CT (WFSB) -

The Windsor Police Department is searching for the man involved in a robbery at local pharmacy Wednesday night.

According to police, a man entered CVS on Windsor Avenue just after 10:30 p.m. Police said he attempted to purchase a Snickers bar; however, he told the cashier that he did not have enough money.

He left the store and got back into line where he handed a handful of Fireballs to the clerk, police said. When the clerk opened cash register, the suspect grabbed approximately $100 from inside.

The suspect, who was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a Boston Red Sox fitted baseball cap, ran out of the store with the money, police said.

The clerk was not injured during the incident.

No weapon was implied, police said.

The robbery remains under investigation. Anyone with any information  is asked to call the Windsor Police Department at 860-688-5273 ext. 521.
