PHOENIX (CBS5) -
A pregnant Phoenix woman added a new definition to morning rush hour Tuesday morning when her water broke while she was driving on a freeway in Phoenix.
The pregnant woman's water broke while she was driving east on Interstate 10 near 43rd Avenue and pulled to the inside lane of the freeway just under an overpass, according to an Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman.
Another motorist stopped and called 911 about 7:30 a.m. with the news she was in labor.
The woman, who is from Mexico and in her 30s, was tended by a DPS officer until Phoenix Fire Department personnel took her to a nearby hospital.
There was no word yet on whether she gave birth.
No other information was immediately available.
