Three historic homes in Springfield are now for sale again.
This is the second time the city has offered these properties on Maple Street and Avon Place.
This year, the city is increasing the amount of grant money available to potential buyers in hopes of getting developers interested.
Springfield's chief development officer, Kevin Kennedy, says it's important for developers to step forward this time around.
"The main incentive for us to try very hard with this kind of a situation is to preserve our historic homes and also get these properties on the tax rolls. That's the payback to the city. That's what we owe to the residents of the city," Kennedy said.
Proposals are due to the Office of Procurement at Springfield's city hall by Feb. 6.
