BRIDGEPORT, CT (WFSB) -
Bridgeport police held the city's fifth gun buyback collecting 74 guns, including four assault-type weapons.
Police tell Eyewitness News they paid out $7,000 today at the gun buyback event.
The city has held five gun buybacks collecting a total of 477 guns, paying out $52,000.
Bridgeport police plan to hold another gun buyback Saturday, Jan. 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bridgeport Police Department's Community Services Division at 1395 Sylvan Ave.
