Half of a dozen businesses in Turners Falls have been targets of break-ins over the weekend.
On Monday, Montague police said they received several calls from business owners on Avenue A. They said their businesses were broken into or vandalized.
Police said the targeted businesses had been ransacked for cash and others valuable items.
On Tuesday, several businesses were still feeling the effects.
"Things are hard enough as it is … to have somebody break-in to your location … even though they didn't take anything of any value … it's disappointing," said Ted Whelan, owner of Shanahan Construction Supply Co.
Police now think these break-ins are drug-related.
