Bristol girl tells police she was approached by suspicious man

Posted: Updated:

An 11-year-old girl told Bristol police that a suspicious person tried to get her to go with him for a ride in his car Wednesday afternoon.

Police said the unidentified girl was able to run away without being injured. But, police said, the girl told them of an ominous warning he shouted before he fled.

"I know where you live," he yelled to the girl, according to police.

The incident was reported around 4:30 p.m. on Hill Street, and the suspicious person was described as a white man in his late teens to early 20s with no facial hair and was wearing a dark-colored winter hat.

The man was driving a small, blue four-door motor vehicle, police said.

Police said they were notified hours after the alleged incident took place and no suspect was located.

No arrests have been made at this time. Anyone with any information is being asked to call the Bristol Police Department at 860-584-3011.
