PLYMOUTH, CT (WFSB) -

Police in Plymouth said they found the flags missing from the St. Mary's Cemetery Veterans' Memorial and realized the memorial wasn't actually vandalized, according to officials at the Immaculate Conception Church.

The article said the flags and poles were found inside the cemetery storage house.

According to police, the flags were taken down from the memorial by a local Eagle Scout to keep them safe from the elements this winter.
