SOUTH WINDSOR, CT (WFSB) -

The South Windsor Police Department arrested a Hartford woman, who is accused of stealing personal checks from a woman in Glastonbury that she was caring for.

Victoria Booker, 46, was arrested Thursday and charged with second-degree larceny, second-degree forgery and third-degree identity theft. Booker was arraigned Friday.

According to police, Booker allegedly forged and cashed several checks from the woman's account for a total of $645.

After Booker was arrested, she told police that she needed money and there is no particular reason why.

Police began investigating Booker in November.

The South Windsor Police Department transferred Booker to the Glastonbury Police Department.
