Waterford police have arrested and charged the man involved in a standoff that occurred Saturday.

Jonathan Bill, 49, has been arrested and charged with breach of peace, threatening and interfering with police after officers were called to his Ferri Drive home.

According to police, they were called to the home after Bill became involved in a dispute.  When they arrived the other party was outside and Bill was in the home.  Police said Bill threatened to "shoot the first cop I see."

Officers evacuated the surrounding area and negotiated with Bill for several hours before he surrendered.

Police later located several firearms in his home.

Bill is being held on a $100,000 bond and will be arraigned in New London Superior Court on Tuesday.
