Teen crashes car into bank

MOOSUP, CT (WFSB) -

A 16-year-old is facing charges after crashing a car into a bank in Moosup.

The incident was reported after midnight Sunday at a Bank of America branch.

Police said a Mercury Cougar slammed into the bank's entrance, breaking the front door and damaging the building.

The 16-year-old and a 14-year-old passenger had fled the scene, but police later caught up with them.

They were released to their parents.
