NAUGATUCK, CT (WFSB) -

Police have made an arrest in a Dec. 7 fire and said more could be coming.

Police arrested 43-year-old Angel Lopez-Sanchez of Waterbury and charged him with performing trade work without a license, second-degree reckless endangerment and risk of injury to a child.

Police said Lopez-Sanchez was performing work in an apartment at 933 Rubber Ave. when the fire broke out. Lopez-Sanchez was allegedly using a blow-torch to remove tile flooring and a toilet in a bathroom when the blaze broke out.

During the investigation, police determined Lopez-Sanchez was hired by the management company and was doing the work without any type of occupational trade licenses or plumbing licenses.

The occupants were at home at the time of the fire, including the children of the unit.

Lopez-Sanchez was released on a $10,000 cash bond and will appear in Waterbury Superior Court Jan. 23.
