The Valley continues it winter of extremes as high temperatures are expected to top out near or at 80 degrees the next few days.
The record highs for Tuesday and Wednesday are 78 and 77 degrees, respectively. Skies will be mainly sunny with increasing high cloudiness by the end of the week.
Some changes arrive by the weekend when weak storm system will approach from the southwest (therefore not a "cold" system) and bring in a chance for a few showers on Saturday. Weekend high temperatures will top out around the 70-degree mark.
Then another, perhaps colder system arrives early next week, knocking temps back down into the low 60s, nowhere near the sub-freezing temperatures experienced last week.
