Police investigate assault at pawn shop in Hamden

HAMDEN, CT (WFSB) -

The Hamden Police Department is investigating an assault at a pawn shop on Dixwell Avenue near the intersection of Putnam Avenue Wednesday night.

One female employee was taken to an area hospital.

Detectives are on the scene and the assault remains under investigation. It is unclear if anyone has been arrested.

Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to call the Hamden Police Department at 203-230-4000.
