Coventry police investigating armed robbery

COVENTRY, CT (WFSB) -

Coventry Police are looking for a suspect in an overnight armed robbery.

Police said they were called to a home on Boston Turnpike just before midnight after a man arrived home and was approached by individual armed with a handgun.

The suspect demanded valuables and fled on foot, possibly to a waiting vehicle, police said.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing all-dark clothing.

Police said they believe this is an isolated incident.
