Lt. Thomas Paquin of the Holyoke Fire Department told CBS 3 that the fire that worked its way through the Caribbean Nightclub on Saturday night has been determined to be arson.
Paquin said the fire originally started on the outside of the building.
Employees believed they put the fire out themselves, but it worked its way into the building's siding and wall spaces.
Paquin said the delay in notifying the fire department allowed the fire to grow.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Holyoke Fire Department.
