State police investigate cow shooting in North Stonington

STONINGTON, CT (WFSB) -

A cow died after being shot in North Stonington over the weekend.

Police said that two cows, which belonged to the Palmer Farm, were found shot on Pendelton Hill Road. The shooting took place sometime between late Friday night and early Saturday morning.

One of the cows had to be euthanized because of the severity of their injuries.

The incident remains under investigation by the Connecticut State Police. Anyone with any information is asked to call 860-848-6500.
