MESA, AZ (CBS5) -
A body found in the bushes at the Mesa Riverview shopping area has been positively identified as the man who gunned down one person and wounded two others in a Phoenix office building shooting on Wednesday.
A landscaper found the body near the Mesa Riverview shopping area near Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway and Dobson Road.
It matched the description of Arthur Douglas Harmon, 70. The discovery occurred about 7:30 a.m. and was near a rental car likely used by Harmon that was parked in the Bass Pro Shop parking lot.
Police said the person died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound and that a handgun was found close by.
Aerial video showed crime tape surrounding the white rental Kia Optima.
Harmon was believed to have driven away from the shooting scene in a white Kia.
Harmon is suspected in the shooting death of Steve Singer, owner of Fusion Contact Centers, LLC, a Phoenix call center, in an office building near 16th Street and Glendale Avenue about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Two other people were wounded by gunfire.
