A popular Nashville health clinic that has been closed since sustaining damage in a January storm is now ready to reopen.
The Waverly-Belmont Family Health Center will reopen Friday afternoon after about $65,000 in repairs were made to the building.
The facility along 12th Avenue South serves those who fall through the cracks because they either don't have insurance or don't have enough insurance, and, in all, about 400 patients visited the health center each day before it was closed.
Part of the building's roof was torn off, and several inches of water seeped inside the clinic in the late-January storms that spawned several tornadoes across Middle Tennessee.
That damage ruined patient records, supplies and equipment.
