Chevy Trailblazer on its side at exit 14
NORWALK, CT (WFSB) -
Fire officials in Norwalk responded to five accidents on the I-95 and Route 7 connector Saturday night.
Officials say the first call came in just after 9:30 p.m. for a car that was on its side at exit 14 southbound. The occupant of the vehicle was uninjured, and able to escape the vehicle through the moon roof. The driver was taken to Norwalk Hospital for observation.
They say the snow had started to accumulate, coating the highway. The other four accidents involved single cars spinning out, coming to a rest on the guard rail, Jersey barriers or disabled in the travel lanes facing the wrong way.
Lanes were blocked to protect accident scenes while State Police investigated. Once the cars were towed, all lanes were reopened.
Officials say there were no injuries.
