The leader in perfecting business translation services releases a translation Guesstimation Tool.
(PRWEB) February 06, 2013
Tomedes, a leader in human translation services for business, recently released a free tool that “guesstimates” the demand for specific language translation services in 2013. The estimation tool, which can be found on Tomedes website (http://tomedes.com/guesstimationtool/), includes translation predictions for over 40 languages, including German, French, Spanish, Chinese, and other commonly used languages.
The predictive tool is based on trends that researchers at Tomedes observed and analyzed throughout 2012, and on frequent conversations and interviews with key translators in the industry. The tool is designed to be a starting point for freelance translators to predict their workflow in 2013. Although based on a predictive modeling algorithm, results should not be taken as scientific fact.
Ofer Tirosh, CEO of Tomedes, briefly explained why the tool was created:
“Translators are constantly coming to us with questions about trends that we see in our industry. We decided this was a great prediction tool to help fellow translators plan for what is to come in the year ahead.”
The Guesstimation Tool estimates a demand for general English to Arabic translations will increase by about 21.5% in 2013, and 26% for English to Russian translations in the legal field.
