Police in Hartford arrested a 22-year-old man after he allegedly hit a woman in the head with a brick Tuesday.
According to police, Jeffrey Acosta assaulted the woman with the piece of concrete at a home on James Street around 4 p.m.
The woman was taken to an area hospital with critical injuries, but police said she is expected to survive.

Police said they believe that the assault was related to narcotics and was not random.
