WETHERSFIELD, CT (WFSB) -

The governor issued an extension on all deadlines and expiration dates related to the Department of Motor Vehicles Friday because of Blizzard Charlotte.

All expiration dates and periods of validity for motor vehicle registrations, licenses, permits, certificates and other forms of credentials were extended by Gov. Dannel P. Malloy.

The date of when the deadlines and expiration dates will be extended to has yet to be determined.

"Due to the significant impact on Connecticut, the state is extending all motor vehicle deadlines and expiration dates until the storm has ended and we can assess its effects," said Commissioner Melody A. Currey. "People cannot right now meet these deadlines, especially since we want people to stay at home and avoid the severe weather."
