UConn basketball player arrested, suspended from team

A member of the University of Connecticut Huskies basketball team was arrested Monday, and has been suspended from the team.

Enosch Wolf, who is from Goettingen, Germany, was arrested by campus police sometime early Monday.

Police said Wolf was involved in a domestic dispute with a woman at the LaFlesche Building on campus just before 6 a.m. Wolf struck the woman and then refused to leave the apartment, police said.

Wolf even knocked the glasses off the woman's face and grabbed her hair while pushing her head, police said.

According to a statement from the school, Wolf was suspended indefinitely, "pending the completion of the legal process and a university review process."

UConn Basketball Coach Kevin Ollie said they are "taking the matter very seriously."

"I have spoken to the players on the team previously, and will continue to speak with them, about their conduct both on and off the basketball court," Ollie said in a statement Monday. "We have high expectations of our student-athletes at UConn, and I expect my players to live up to those standards."

Wolf was arrested at the apartment and charged with third-degree burglary, first-degree criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. He is expected to appear at Rockville Superior Court on Feb. 13 and is being held on $500 bond.

The university said they would not comment any further.
