MIDLAND, MI (WNEM) -
After six years on the job, Midland Public School Superintendent Carl Ellinger is stepping down.
Ellinger announced that he will retire on June 30.
Ellinger held the same post in the Charlotte Public School system and came to Midland from that district. Ellinger has been in public education for 25 years.
Midland Public School Superintendent Jerry Wasserman says the school system will hire a search firm to name a replacement for Ellinger.
