Two crashes involve tractor trailers on I-84 west overnight

EAST HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

State police were dealing with two separate crashes, both involving tractor-trailers, on Interstate 84 west early Thursday morning.

The first one occurred around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in the area of exit 54 in East Hartford.

A tandem tractor-trailer rolled over in the left lane, blocking the exit 54 off ramp.

A second crash involving a tractor-trailer occurred just after 3 a.m. Thursday near exit 68 in Tolland.

Officials said the truck lost control and slid down an embankment.

There is no word on injuries as a result of either accidents.

Crews were able to get both accident scenes cleared before the morning commute.
