NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Police said men suspected in a drug case were trying to disguise narcotics as food.

Investigators were conducting regular patrols in the 1500 block of Porter Road when they came upon two men suspected of doing a drug deal.

The men then ran into an apartment. When police pursued the men into a apartment, investigators said they hid the drugs in sandwich bags stored in a kitchen cabinet.

Marijuana paraphernalia was also found in a cookie jar.

An AR-15 and AK-47 rifle were discovered in one of the bedrooms at the apartment.

Freddie Hill is charged with felony drug offenses in connection with the case.
