NEWTOWN, CT (WFSB/AP) -

More than two dozen playgrounds will be built in memory of the victims at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Each of the 26 playgrounds will be built in a community recovering from Superstorm Sandy.

The $2.1 million project is called "The Sandy Ground: Where Angels Play" and will be constructed by New Jersey's largest Firefight Union.

New Jersey and New York will each get 10 playgrounds, while Connecticut will be home to six.
