WINDSOR LOCK, CT (WFSB) -

Crowds showed up to support the two men severely beaten back in January at their auto repair shop in South Windsor.

The benefit was held at the Blackboard Café in Windsor Locks on Saturday night.

Dozens of people came to support Bob Lareau and Ryan Kelleher, who were attacked at Forced Induction Motorsports last month.

Police said suspect Nathaniel Chambers was upset about the work being done on his car and hired three men to assault Kelleher and Lareau.

More than $2,000 was raised at the fundraiser Saturday.
