Bridgeport store owner shot during robbery attempt

BRIDGEPORT, CT (WFSB) -

Police in Bridgeport said they were investigating reports that a store owner was shot Tuesday morning during a robbery attempt.

Few details have been released about the incident, but police said the shooting was reported at East Side Sport, located at 959 East Main St., before 10:30 a.m.

Police said the store owner Felix Reyes, 65, was shot at least once, but police said the injuries are being described at non-life-threatening.

No arrests have been made at this time.
