Mom accused of screaming profanities at children due in court

PLAINVILLE, CT (WFSB) -

A mother from Plainville accused of yelling profanities at 7-year-old children is due in court Tuesday.

Plainville police said 41-year-old Cari Penta yelled at a few children who she thought elbowed her son during basketball practice at Linden Street School.

Another child told police Penta threatened to slap him.

Penta is now charged with breach of peace.
