Angry Bridgeport neighbors confronted the mayor about snow removal and parking bans during Blizzard Charlotte.
The amount of time available for public speaking was extended at Tuesday night's packed City Council meeting.
"He needs a nose, a wig and he needs some makeup because he's a clown," one unidentified resident told Eyewitness News.
After a record 30 inches of snow was dropped by Blizzard Charlotte on the city, a Facebook page titled Tell Mayor Finch to resign was created to hold someone accountable for the cleanup. The page had 126 Likes as of 11 p.m.
"In my neighborhood, we still only have pathways," said Willie Jay Smith of Bridgeport. "The only problem we got is there's no place to put it."
However, on Tuesday night, many were towed because of a parking ban. They racked up tow fees, but they said towing and no plowing was an awful combination. Most of them directed their frustration at Mayor Bill Finch.
"I will ask the officers to clear the room or we will all get along," Finch said.
Jean Johnson said she is battling cancer and said her complex on Stewart Street is not shoveled or plowed good enough.
"It's a shame you cant even walk out there," she said.
Finch said he is concerned about snow removal and is reviewing how it was handled for next time.
