LEDYARD, CT (WFSB) -

The folks at Full Heart Farm conduct their farming operations inside a home in Ledyard.

The farm features 40 chicks from Missouri, which are housed in the laundry room of the farmhouse.

"They are eight-days old today," said Allyson Angelini from Full Heart Farm. "And these are the future egg layers of full heart farm."

The farm raises pork, chicken, eggs and a variety of vegetables.

"We keep our vegetables in the dining room because the laundry room gets a little tight after a while," said Angelini, who started the farm last May.

She said the farm has already dealt with a hurricane, blizzard and the hottest July on record.

"It's a tough go," Angelini said. "But farming is my vocation and I could not feel any happier than having my dream and having my own farm come true."
