UPDATE: Four victims identified in McDuffie County plane crash


UPDATE (5:50 p.m.)

McDuffie County Coroner's Office has confirmed the identities of four of the five passengers that were killed in the plane crash Wednesday night.

Lisa Volpitto

Kim Davidson

All five people killed worked at The Vein Guys of Augusta including Dr. Steven Roth, 2 ultra sound technicians, a nurse anesthetist, and a secretary.

UPDATE: FOX54 has confirmed the identity of one of the deceased victims in Wednesday night's plane crash as 29-year old Tiffany Porter of Albany, GA. She is a monographer at Albany Vascular.

Sources tell us she was planning to move to Nashville, TN.

Her last day at Albany Vascular was Friday and her coworkers had a going away party for her.

She is a native of Alabama.

FOX54 is told all of the passengers on board are affiliated with The Vein Guys team.


Five people are dead following a plane crash in Thomson, GA Wednesday night. Officials confirm seven people were on the small plane when it attempted to land at the Thomson-McDuffie Regional Airport around 8:30pm.

Two other passengers, including the pilot, were transported to Georgia Regents Medical Center for treatment. One male patient involved in the plane crash is in critical condition.

The plane was on the way from Nashville, TN when it over shot the runway and clipped a power line. Thousands of people were left without power.

The aircraft that crashed was a Hawker Beechcraft 390/Premier. Officials from the NTSB are on the way to the crash site. Two Georgia Power crews are at the site of the crash. Edmunds Road NE is closed at this time for investigation.
