Police search for man accused of robbing sleeping UConn students

STORRS, CT (WFSB) -
Police are searching for a man believed to have stolen credit cards from sleeping students at the University of Connecticut.
Police said 23-year-old Michael Moses Tarpeh, who is also referred to as 'Big Mike,' was invited to an on-campus apartment over the weekend, where he stole several items from residents while they were sleeping.
According to officials, Tarpeh is currently wanted in both West Virginia and Massachusetts on separate charges including attempted sexual assault and battery.
An email alert was sent out to students at UConn warning them to be on the lookout.
Tarpeh was last seen in Waterbury on Saturday morning.
