Crash reported on Route 9 south

BERLIN, CT (WFSB) -

A multi-car crash was reported on Route 9 south Wednesday morning.

Few details have been released, but officials said the crash was reported in the area of exit 23 in Berlin.

The highway was reduced to one lane, officials said, and that caused a massive traffic backup in the area.

It's unknown how long the lane would be closed or if anyone has been injured.

No other information was released.
